Various addresses 6700-8210 Camby Rd & 6600-6833 Kentucky Ave -- Savey Corporation, represented by Murray Clark, will be filing a petition to allow them to build a data center.
STATUS: [2025-CAP, CVR-856 ] This petition will be heard by the Hearing Examiner on January 29.

 

6801 Stanley Rd -- Claudia and Jose Aboytes, represented by Dave Gilman, seeks to allow a second home on the parcel.
STATUS: [ ] This petition has not yet been filed.

 

8300 Camby Rd -- a petitioner represented by Dave Gilman, seeks a rezoning to allow for construction of a gas station.
STATUS: [ ] This petiion has not yet been filed.

 

3889 W Perry St -- Alayna and Jayden Bridgman, represented by Justin Bridgman, seek a Variance of Use to add a CBD and Hemp Business to the list of allowed business at this site.
STATUS: [ ] The Variance petition was withdrawn, but the petitioner has failed to file for a rezoning.

We meet beginning at 6:00 PM in the Training Room of the Decatur Township Government Center / Firestation.  Take the door at the rear of the building – stairs on your immediate left.  The training room is half way down the hallway on your left.

6501 Mann Road -- Kittle Property Group, represented by Joe Calderon, seeks to rezone 26.8 acres from DA to D7 in order to build a multi-family residential development.
STATUS [2025-ZON-077]  On
September 25. the Hearing Examiner decided to recommend to the MDC that the petition be denied.  On October 15 City-County Councillor, Josh Bain,  received a continuance for cause to continue his negotiations with Kittle Property Group.  The MDC will hear this petiion on November 19.

3641 S Lynhurst Dr -- Crossroad Engineers, represented by Gregory Ilko, seek to rezone 3.44 acres from C7 and I4 to all I4 for heavy industrial uses, including outdoor storage and operations.
STATUS: [ 2025-ZON-095] This petition was withdrawn on October 9.

 

6801 Stanley Rd -- Claudia & Jose Aboytes, represented by David Gilman, are seeking to split a 2 acre residential lot into a 0.5 acre and a 1.5 acre lot.  They are also seeking a varaince to allow the larger lot to have only  15 feet of road frontage when 70 feet is required, and to allow the use of a septic system instead of hooking up to city sanitary sewer as required for a D3 parcel.
STATUS: [2025-CVR-833] This petition was withdrawn on
July 24.

 

5338 W Edwards Ave -- Austin Young seeks a variance to allow a 6 foot privacy fence and detached shed in the second front yard of a corner lot.
STATUS: [2025-DV2-023] The Civic Council voted to  SUPPORT this petition.  This petition was approved by the Board of Zoning Appeals on
July 8.

 

7515  Camby Rd -- Abigail Wojciechowski, represented by David Gilman, seeks a Variance to divide 1 6.9 acre D3 lot into three D3 lots so that two more houses can be built without connection to the public sanitary sewer (instead rely on septic systems).  They also seek to plat these new lots.
This petition has been amended to request a waiver of the requirement to construct sidewalks and to donate right of way along Camby Rd to the City.
STATUS: [2025-CPL, CVR-805]  This petition was APPROVED by the Hearing Examiner on May 29 and July 24.

 

6225-6245 Kentucky Ave -- Joe Calderon is representing a client who seeks to rezone about 3 acres from DA to C4 so a Speedway gas station and convenience store can be constructed.
STATUS: [ 2025-ZON-055] The Civic Council voted to  SUPPORT this petition.  This petition was APPROVED by the Hearing Examiner on June 26.

 

4446 Mann Rd -- Dave & Sons Properties, represented by David Gilman, seeks to rezone 0.75 acres from C3 to C4 in order to build a gas station.
STATUS: [2025-ZON-052 ] TThe Civic Council voted to  SUPPORT this petition.  This petition was APPROVED by the Hearing Examiner on June 12.

 

4925 Decatur Blvd -- Meritex Decatur LLC, represented by Ed Williams, seeks a Variance of Use to install three skyline signs on the front facade when only one is permitted.
STATUS: [2025-DV2-009]  The Civic Council voted to  OPPOSE this petition. It was withdrawn on June 10.

 

7030 Mann Rd -- Jose Cuevas, represented by Justin Kingen, seeks to rezone a 5.3 acre parcel from DA to DS.  They also want to split this lot into two parcels and plat them at the same time as the rezoning.
STATUS: [2025-CZN,CPL-819]  The Civic Council voted to  SUPPORT this petition.  This petition was APPROVED by the Hearing Examiner on May 29.

 

6900 Millhouse Rd -- DR Horton, represented by Brian Tuohy, seeks the rezoning of 11.2 acres from DA to D4 to all for the construction of 33 single family homes.  This would be an expansion of the Cardinal Grove subdivision.
STATUS: [2025-ZON-012]  The Civic Council voted to  SUPPORT this petition.  This petition was APPROVED by the Hearing Examiner on Apr 24.

 

3321 S Tibbs Ave -- PDJ's Lake, LLC, represented by James Hillery, seeks a Variance of Use in order to park an RV on an undeveloped residential lot.
STATUS: [2025-UV2-004] The Civic Council voted to  OPPOSE this petition.  This petition was DENIED by the BZA on Apr 8.

 

7300 S Mooresville Rd and 6402 W Southport Rd -- Arbor Homes seeks to rezone 48.4 acres from DA to D4 in order to develop a subdivision of 130 125 single family homes.  This matter is returning for a new consideration and vote as significant changes have been proposed.
STATUS: [2024-ZON-097] The Civic Council voted to  SUPPORT this petition.  This petition was APPROVED by the Hearing Examiner on December 12.  The MDC APPROVED this petition on Mar 5. 

 

6700 Ralston Rd -- Gretchen Willkie, represented by David Gilman, seeks to rezone 27 acres from DA (agriculture) to DS to establish 9 3-acre lots.
STATUS: [2025-ZON-004] The Civic Council voted to  SUPPORT this petition.  This petition was APPROVED by the Hearing Examiner on Feb 27.

 

6545 & 6200 W Southport Rd -- Arbor Homes seeks to rezone 105 acres from DA to DP in order to develop a subdivision of 315 single family homes. 
STATUS: [2024-ZON-098] The Civic Council voted to OPPOSE this petition.  At the hearing the petitioner agreed to provide $920,000 for the improvement of two intersections, build houses with no vinyl, and build only one and two-story homes.  Therefore the Civic Council position changed to SUPPORT.  This petition APPROVED by the MDC on Feb 19..

 

7947 Camby Rd -- Arbor Homes seeks to rezone 22.9 acres from DA to D4 in order to build a subdivision of 50 single family homes.
STATUS: [2024-ZON-138] The Civic Council voted to OPPOSE this petition.  This petition was DENIED by the MDC on Feb 19.

 

4900 & 4652 Kentucky Ave --Indianapolis (Kentucky Avenue) WW, LLC, represented by Joe Calderon, seek the rezoning of 5.86 acres from D-A, D-3 and C-3 to C-4 to allow for the construction of a Wawa gas station and convenience store.
STATUS: [2024-ZON-111]  The Civic Council voted to  SUPPORT this petition.  This petition was APPROVED by the Hearing Examiner on October 24.
